Tuesday, August 18, marks the centennial of women’s suffrage.

This is arguably the most important day in our history as women in America: when women won the right to vote after a decades-long fight.

Here are 3 ways you can commemorate and celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote:

- We offer you useful fast facts, activity suggestions, and reading lists that can help inform children about this important part of history.

2. Download your free copy of our commemorative book, The Women Who Won the Vote ([link removed])

- This commemorative book tells the stories of 12 of the suffragists.
- It was published by IWF Press and features a foreword by Ambassador Nikki R. Haley.

3. Get some special-edition centennial swag ([link removed])

- These make great gifts and keepsakes.
- Post or send us photos of you sporting your gear using #womensWONhundred! We’d love to see your photos!

I am honored to serve on the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission and to be a part of this momentous occasion. I am proud to lead Independent Women’s Forum and Independent Women’s Voice, sister organizations that are committed to advancing and enhancing women’s freedom, opportunities, and choices.
