I’m writing to you from the road.

We are officially in a sprint to the finish of this June primary. In a district as vast as ours—spanning from the North Bay to the Sierras—every single hour matters. Every door knocked and every conversation at a kitchen table is a step toward making sure our community finally has a representative who isn’t for sale.

That is where I’m spending my weekend: out in our communities, listening to the people the political establishment continues to ignore.

There is a traditional "playbook" for this stage of a primary. Most politicians spend their time tucked away in a call room, dialing a list of wealthy insiders and special interest donors. They trade their time for corporate checks to fuel their campaigns.

I refuse to do that. I won't trade time with my neighbors for time with big-money gatekeepers. I’m an educator and an organizer, and I believe the work of this campaign happens on the ground, not in a backroom.

Because I am prioritizing voter outreach this weekend, I am relying on you to keep our momentum moving.

They allow us to bypass the "insider lane" that Mike McGuire has spent decades building with corporate-funded slush funds. It’s how we make sure our message of anti-corruption and real representation reaches every voter before they complete their ballot.
