In case you missed it, my self-funding opponent launched her first TV ads today.

This is very early, and it's just further evidence that she wants to buy this election. Worse, she misrepresents herself as caring about people with pre-existing conditions, while aligning herself with a President who has a pending lawsuit to do away with the Affordable Care Act. Clearly, she is pretending to be something she isn't. We know that during her time as county commissioner, she opposed funding for the county nursing home, and cutting back on social services of all kinds to justify tax cuts. My campaign will be forced to spend money to expose who she really is.

Earlier today, my team set a $5,000 goal to help us fight back. Because of the response from so many supporters, we’re close to hitting our goal. Can you pitch in before midnight and help us get there?

Every day I go to work for people of the Lehigh Valley. Just this week we heard that the President and House Republicans are trying to end Social Security and Medicare as we know it. I know that my opponent would support those cuts if she is elected.

While I hate asking for money, emails like this are a crucial part of our grassroots fundraising. We can’t run a winning campaign without your support and we can’t let the Republicans take away these vital services for our community.
