Cory Roman just became the youngest person ever elected to the Martinsburg City Council, and the first Black City Councilman to win election.

Rosemary Ketchum became the first openly transgender local elected official in West Virginia, winning her seat on the Wheeling City Council in June.

Both are part of the first-ever slate of West Virginia Can't Wait candidates who are Not for Sale: pledging to never take corporate cash and to never cross a picket line. They're also backers of the New Deal for West Virginia, our 30+ policy plans that choose the side of West Virginians over the wealthy Good Old Boy Club, every time.
