BREAKING NEWS ALERT:
Trump Just Admitted He's Sabotaging the USPS to Harm Mail-in Voting
"They need that money in order to make the Post Office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots," Trump said on Fox Business Thursday morning of the states that are implementing universal mail-in voting ahead of the November election. "But if they don't get those two items, that means you can't have universal mail-in voting, because they're not equipped to have it."
President Trump just admitted that his threats to withhold money from the United States Postal Service are an attempt to prevent us from conducting safe and secure elections via mail-in voting.
This is another illegal assault on our democracy. While I can't go into details, I want you to know that my legal team has been preparing legal defenses against President Trump's many attacks on our democracy -- including this one. Stay tuned.
Vote-by-mail is safe, secure, and the only way we can guarantee that millions of Americans can exercise their constitutional right to vote while also staying safe during the COVID pandemic.
The President's willingness to put Americans' health and well-being at risk for the sake of politics is undemocratic, unlawful, and un-American.
In Washington state, President Trump's actions will disenfranchise those who lawfully change their address less than 10 days before the election. If Postal Service delays slow the delivery of their ballots, their ability to vote will be impaired.
We must respond quickly. I need 2,000 supporters to add their name right away in support of USPS and mail-in-voting. Can I count on you?
