John,
Earlier this week, Joe Biden announced that Kamala Harris will be his
official running mate — making her the first Black and Indian American
woman nominated by a major party as a vice presidential candidate.
It was a long overdue accomplishment. We celebrated all the hard work
women, especially women of color, have been doing for decades to make this
historic moment possible.
But we barely had time to celebrate before Trump started hurling his
signature sexist insults against Kamala Harris. Within hours of Joe Biden
announcing Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate, Donald Trump
launched a misogynistic and racist attack against her, calling her
‘nasty,’ ‘disrespectful,’ and ‘phony.’
These are the words of a sexist, pathetic man threatened by a powerful
woman of color. We knew this was coming. It’s straight out of Trump’s
playbook and there’s no doubt that this is just the start of his attacks
against Kamala.

attacks this election? We want Trump to know that his despicable attacks
will only motivate us to fight harder and make sure he’s a one-term
president.

Unfortunately, it is not surprising that Trump, a racist and sexist
person, would employ racist and sexist language to try to keep the Oval
Office.
Here’s the thing, it’s not going to work. Women, and more specifically
women of color, will determine the outcome of this election. Trump’s
racism and misogyny are only getting more people energized to vote him out
in November.
We can count on Trump to keep spewing his vitriol, and he can count on us
to turn out a record number of women voters and ensure he is a one-term
president.
There’s no doubt that Trump’s attacks will become even more despicable as
we get closer to November 3rd. That’s why it’s important we show off the
power of our movement and let Trump know that his attacks will not go
unanswered this election.
[ [link removed] ]Will you add your name and let us know that you’re finished with this
administration’s sexism and racism? It’s important we condemn these dirty
attacks and let Trump know this will not be tolerated this election.
In solidarity,
Women’s March
