John, we’re
running out of time!

Finals are here and the college semester is ending, which means that we
have a little more than a week left to get out on campus and register
students before they leave for summer break.

College campuses are one of the best places to meet young Texans where
they are and help them get registered to vote.

Powered by People has been on the ground on campuses across Texas because
we know the path to winning isn’t a last-minute sprint in October. We have
to show up now to have in person conversations with these young Texans, to
build relationships of trust, to get them registered, to stay in touch
with them and to make sure they vote in the most important elections of
our lives.

Once campuses clear out, this work gets a lot harder. We’ll still be on
big college campuses for summer school and will spend more time at
Community Colleges as well, but we won’t have the same volume. Our next
big chance to register students at scale will come in August, when the
fall semester starts. ​​

week of campus voter registration before summer? Your support helps us
keep organizers on the road, get volunteers where they need to be, and
reach more students before they leave campus.

We’re going to push as hard as we can to have as many one-on-one
conversations with students this week before they leave for the summer.
