This week, our team is growing -- with new field organizers reaching out to voters in IL-03 and encouraging them to make a plan to vote for Marie in November.

Normally, they’d have big packets of addresses ready to go door to door to talk to people in person about why Marie is the best candidate for the job -- the data is clear that those face-to-face interactions are very effective.

But because nothing is normal in 2020, COVID-19 has forced us to completely change our plans. Our organizers will now be hitting the phones hard over the next couple of months, reaching voters from a safe distance away. And we’ll have to put in more work to educate voters about how to cast their ballots in the middle of a pandemic.

I’ve got to say, coming up with an entirely new field strategy in the middle of an election is not an easy or cheap task.

So that’s why I’m reaching out to you today to ask if you can make a donation to this campaign and help fund our virtual voter contact efforts.

I’m sure you agree that winning this election is critical, but no matter what, we’ve all got to do what’s necessary to keep our communities safe.
