Real Advocacy in Action...
and Your Invitation to be Part of It!

This week, A Voice for Choice Advocacy’s Legislative Team had the opportunity to spend an Advocacy Day at the Capitol in Sacramento with one of our community members, Paul, who joined us for a behind the scenes look at what advocacy truly looks like. Together, we walked to committee hearings, met with legislative offices, and spent the day engaging in the legislative process in real time.

This is what we mean when we say we educate, advocate, and empower.

For over 11 years, A Voice for Choice Advocacy has been consistently present at the Capitol, building relationships, engaging with legislators and staff, and working within the process to advance meaningful solutions for California families. And moments like this matter, because advocacy isn’t just something we talk about…It's something we invite our community into.

To learn more about the California Legislative Process, AVFCA put together a clear, step-by-step overview of the process here: [link removed] [[link removed]]

CACEH (California Alliance for Children’s Environmental Health), alongside several public health and environmental advocacy organizations, including AVFCA, is hosting the 2nd Annual Children’s Environmental Health Advocacy Day 📣🌳🍎

We’re bringing together parents, medical professionals, and advocates to help ensure our children have a safe and clean world to play, learn, and grow—free from toxic chemicals, pollutants, and unsafe products.

This year, we will be advocating in support of:

-Diaper ingredient disclosure
-Removing toxic chemicals from food packaging and receipts
-Eliminating PFAS from pesticides
-Reducing heavy metals in infant formula
And other important solutions impacting children’s health

Join us as we:

-Meet with legislative offices
-Engage in meaningful conversations
-Bring awareness to critical issues impacting our communities
