The Intercept just released an article confirming what we’ve known all along: The allegations against me were an engineered attack on my reputation by individuals who want to see us lose.
This is the part of politics that people hate. It’s the kind of playbook we’ve rejected throughout this entire campaign. Instead, we’ve been running a race on the issues: access to healthcare, mental health awareness and treatment, environmental justice, consumer protection, and job security.
The Intercept article reveals the worst of dirty politics. We can reject this type of divisiveness by coming together to focus on building a future that works for all of us.
The people of this district understand that our current representative has abused his power on behalf of corporations and special interests for over 31 years, dividing our nation in pursuit of profit.
