John,

In a recent interview with NBC6, I was asked about running as a Democrat in a “heavily red state.”

But here’s the thing: I know that Florida isn’t a permanently “red” state. I know that we can win here because in all the conversations I’ve had with voters, I’ve heard over and over that residents are beyond tired of the Republican supermajority in Tallahassee.

They are tired of a government that gives away one of our most valuable pieces of land at Miami Dade College to the Trump Library Foundation for $10 with no strings attached.

They are tired of the fact that this government in Tallahassee has spent hundreds of millions of our tax dollars on an immoral prison camp in the Everglades. They are tired of political stunts, like the $5 million renaming of Palm Beach Airport after Trump.

Meanwhile, despite having a supermajority, Republicans in Tallahassee got nothing done to address our affordability crisis.

It’s time for a change — it’s time to build a Better Florida.

If you’re with me, can you click here to chip in $10, $15, or more to help us flip SD-38, break the GOP supermajority, and get things done for Miami families?
