John,
This dedicated community of supporters does so much to make brighter futures possible around the world. To make sure you know just how powerful your lifesaving impact is for children in desperate need, we wanted to share Mohamed's story with you:
Ayan (25) holds her son Mohamed, 13 months old, as personnel of Save the Children treat her at the clinic in Dalad, on June 26, 2019. [link removed]
Mohamed is a happy, playful and healthy 17-month-old boy who lives with his mother Ayan in Ethiopia. But that wasn't always the case.
When we first met Mohamed five months ago, he was suffering from severe acute malnutrition. His community had been plagued by drought, making food scarce. Eating one meal per day was a common reality for his family. Mohamed had been ill and weak for seven days when Ayan rushed him to a Save the Children stabilization clinic.
It was there that our team worked tirelessly to treat Mohamed – helping him grow stronger every day through our carefully designed nutrition plan. After just under a week at the clinic, he was eating and drinking again, and slowly getting back to his chatty, funny self.

When our team followed up with his family a few months later, they found a smiling, happy and energetic little boy – and that's because of your generosity. None of our efforts for Mohamed, and millions of children just like him around the world, would be possible without friends like you, and we are so grateful.
Every day, you help us create change in the lives of children – change that lasts a lifetime. Thank you.
