Dear John,
Imagine being blind and then being ticketed, threatened with arrest, and banned—just for having friendly conversations about your faith in the local park.
No, that’s not a headline from China or the Middle East. It happened right here in Westerly, Rhode Island.
And no, this wasn’t some aggressive, confrontational activist wagging their finger and forcing their beliefs upon unwilling passersby.
This happened to a kind, retired nurse from Johns Hopkins named Gail Blair, who—having lost her vision over the years due to a rare genetic condition— resolved to continue helping others by gently sharing her faith in a public park across from her home.
And for this simple act, she was issued a formal warning and banned from the park by the local authorities, in a shocking and shameless display of unconstitutional government hostility.
Watch below as Gail shares her story—it truly brought tears to my eyes.
As chaos erupts across America, Gail is responding in a loving way—yet she's being persecuted for it. This is the escalating fight we’ve watched unfold for months. And the assault isn’t going to stop anytime soon.
That’s why it’s essential for us to rise to the moment together and say: enough is enough.
Will you join me as First Liberty fights for Gail—and fights for you—on the frontlines of the fight to preserve your religious freedom?
Gail certainly isn’t backing down. She has a mission, a “divine assignment,” as she calls it, to share her faith—and she does not intend to be silenced. As she puts it:
“My heart is broken that I can’t live out my faith. Discovering the truth in the Word of God was the best day of my life, and all I want to do is simply share that truth with others.”
But in order to fulfill her mission, and overcome the outrageous opposition she is facing—she needs you to stand with her.
Please stand with Gail today by donating to First Liberty as we fight for her constitutional rights on the legal battlefront.
Because a win for Gail Blar is a win for the right of every American to live out their faith.
Let’s help Gail fulfill her mission together!
Grateful for you, Kelly
