It's Mike Van Someren reaching out after spending the week collecting signatures to get on the ballot and reflecting on this race and our district:



Right now, lawmakers are in Madison for a special session to ban gerrymandering.

This hits hard for me because right now, this is the first time in over a decade that this State Senate seat is up for grabs under a fairer map, and we're within reach to flip the State Senate.

Wisconsinites are tired of being left behind because leadership too often chose to favor those with the most influence—voting results from earlier this month made that clear.

Democrats have a real chance to flip the legislature and start making real progress on issues like affordability, transparency, and accountability.

But that only happens if we flip this seat.
