I wanted to send around a quick update.
I’m doing everything in my power to uphold the rule of law and defend the rights of all Americans against the barrage of attacks from this administration, but I can’t win these fights alone. We’ve set a goal to raise $10,000 before midnight on August 31, and I need your help now to get there. Can you make your first gift now to make sure I can keep holding President Trump accountable and delivering the justice that the American people deserve? Every dollar you give will be put to use in defending our values and taking on the corruption of this administration.
In light of the constant stream of news about the corruption coming out of this White House, your support allows me to keep fighting for you on critical issues, such as these:
- President Trump still holds an ownership stake in the Trump Organization, which continues to accept payments from foreign governments for hotel rooms and events. He’s even using the power of the presidency to push for the next G7 summit to be held at his private Florida golf resort. The acceptance of these profits is unconstitutional, so I’m suing to hold Trump accountable.
- In light of the wave of dangerous anti-choice legislation sweeping across the country, I have introduced and am lead sponsor of the Women’s Health Protection Act to defend reproductive freedom.
- To address the escalating threats of election interference from foreign adversaries like Russia and China, I’m calling on Congress to pass the Duty to Report Act – legislation that would protect our democracy against further interference from foreign powers.
But Friend, I can’t continue these fights without supporters like you by my side. At an important moment like this, with our basic rights and our very democracy on the line, we simply can’t afford to fall short.
