Request For Proposals:
Student-Centered Learning Framework

The Nellie Mae Education Foundation is looking to provide funding to a partnership between a nonprofit organization and a research organization to seek input from community members and organizations, students, families, educators, and school leaders about the definition of student-centered learning and how that definition should shift to reflect a greater focus on racial equity.

This grantee partnership will develop and implement a listening and data-gathering process to interrogate our existing definition of student-centered learning and propose new elements of student-centered learning that create more racially equitable learning environments and outcomes. This project should center the voices of students, families, educators, communities, school leaders, and other education organizations or leaders supporting implementation related to SCL. We anticipate that this project will be led by a grantee with a history of substantial collaboration with these groups.
