It's been over 10 years since the Affordable Care Act became law, and Republicans have been fighting it ever since. Even during a global pandemic, they're working to deepen long-ignored disparities and cut Americans' access to healthcare.
No American should have to choose between their health and livelihood -- with a health emergency like the coronavirus, it's more clear than ever that we need leaders who will fight for Medicare For All. As an original co-sponsor of Medicare for All, I know that we need a system that protects every person. Will you chip in so I can make sure we get one?
We've asked a lot of essential workers this year. They've fed us, kept us healthy, and made sure our cities kept running as the crisis wore on. They also tend to be uninsured, and less likely to have paid sick days or the ability to work remotely. We need Medicare for All because essential workers deserve healthcare -- it's a human right. I'm fighting for them.
COVID-19 has already left its mark on our healthcare system. It's time we learn from it, and demand better.
