Hi friend,
Election officials play a critical, yet often overlooked role in our democracy. That’s what first drove Marjorie Conner to engage in election protection work in 2001.
This National Volunteer Week, we are proud to recognize Marjorie and her decades-long commitment to democracy with our Amicus Mundi Award. ([link removed])

Across the country, election officials endure threats, harassment, intimidation, and defamation — even exposure to criminal penalties in some states — when they do their jobs to administer fair elections. That’s why We The Action partners with the Election Official Legal Defense Network, a nonpartisan project that matches election officials with volunteer lawyers in order to safeguard election administration.
Through her involvement with the Election Official Legal Defense Network, Marjorie has provided instrumental support to election officials. She recently helped several election officials in Virginia, sharing guidance ahead of the upcoming primary elections.

Election officials face high-pressure challenges before, during, and after every election. The Election Official Legal Defense Network needs volunteers across the country to support them. This Volunteer Week, let Marjorie inspire you to take action to safeguard our democracy. Join us to help ensure that election officials can do their jobs without fear of violence or repercussions.
