What does it mean to build responsive pathways to high school graduation and beyond?

What does a “responsive pathway” look like?

What are the implications for these pathways in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic?

On Thursday, August 27 from 2-3:30pm ET, we will host the second webinar in the GradNation Acceleration Initiative Webinar Series to explore answers to these questions, featuring insights from adult and youth experts from Youth Solutions Inc. - Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates (JMG), ([link removed]) Michigan College Access Network ([link removed]), and AT&T ([link removed]). During this conversation, we will explore tangible strategies to connect students’ academic experiences to postsecondary pathways while cultivating meaningful relationships with employers so more young people reach the graduation milestone ready for what’s to come. Given the changing workforce landscape and the increasing complexity of working and learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, we will also discuss how these responsive pathways might be adapted for virtual learning environments and finding employment in a post-COVID economy. Additionally, we’ll hear from AT&T leaders about their investments in communities to provide holistic supports to young people that help them develop critical employability skills and navigate their college and career opportunities.

Speakers include:

Sonya Blanzy, Director of Operations, Youth Solutions Inc.

Elizabeth Bernard, Advancement and Stakeholder Engagement Manager, Youth Solutions Inc.

Current student participant of Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates

Ryan Fewins-Bliss, Executive Director, Michigan College Access Network

Kelem Butts, Director of Charitable Operations, AT&T
