Democrats need to win in Maine and Michigan if we’re going to take back the Senate majority, and the Cook Political Report just rated both of these races as toss ups.

Democratic voters in both of these states are still choosing their nominees, but Republicans have already united behind Susan Collins and Mike Rogers, both of whom have millions of dollars in the bank.

So here’s the situation, team — we feel confident that if we can get Democrats in Maine and Michigan the resources they need, we can flip the Senate in November.

But right now, Republicans have a head start.
