But the moment that mattered most to me came at the end, when I got to explain something I believe in my bones: How the farmer standing before you wins this race, and makes history in Louisiana. Because here's the truth: Democrats don't just need the right policies. We need a candidate who can deliver those policies to voters across Louisiana — in cities, in suburbs, and in rural communities where we've been losing ground for years. I'm a farmer from northeast Louisiana. I've spent my life working the same Delta soil my grandfather worked as a sharecropper — except now my family owns it. I've served my community in local government. I've built a business. And I know how to talk to people who've stopped listening to Democrats because they don't think we understand their lives.
