Although the causes of climate change are still being debated by the left and right – along with what we actually DO about it – it’s encouraging to know that there’s finally widespread agreement that it’s real. Thankfully, the vast majority of Americans want what we want – policies and practices to slow the warming planet and mitigate the worst of the impact.
As a scientist and STEM professional, Chrissy knows the threat climate change poses, and she’s spent her career in Congress fighting for our environment and convening with climate change experts across the globe. In fact, she helped relaunch the Bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus to advance bipartisan solutions on issues like energy affordability, emissions reductions, and more. She knows that good jobs and a healthy planet go hand in hand.
This Earth Day, we hope you’ll go for a walk, touch grass, pick up a little trash, feed the birds, or give to your favorite environmental organization (the League of Conservation Voters is a good place to start). Thank you for being on this journey with us. Happy Earth Day.
