There is still time to make 2X the impact for Ceres' work.
Dear John,
I hope you saw Mindy's email this morning. The decisions being made right now will shape the future of climate action for years to come. As Gina McCarthy’s return to our Board reminds us, there is no time to waste in pushing for the market shifts our planet requires. That's why Ceres' leadership is so important right now. But we can't do it without YOU.
Today, in honor of Earth Day, all gifts are matched, up to $60,000. John, will you make your matched Earth Day gift before this opportunity ends? < [link removed] >
With gratitude,
Susan Sayers
Chief Development Officer,
Ceres

Dear John,
On this Earth Day, we cannot afford to look away from what is at stake.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has withdrawn the Endangerment Finding: the legal and scientific foundation that enabled the federal government to limit greenhouse gas pollution under the Clean Air Act for more than a decade.
This action weakens the federal government's authority to address climate pollution, no matter who is in power. In the meantime, the costs of climate change continue to increase: disrupted markets, rising insurance rates, strained water resources, and increasing financial exposure across sectors that affect communities and businesses alike.
What we need now is action.
And thanks to a generous Ceres donor, there is a special opportunity to act right now: all gifts will be matched up to $60,000 < [link removed] > . Today, on Earth Day, there is no better time to join us in the fight for climate action by making a gift to Ceres.

This year, we are honored to welcome Gina McCarthy, former EPA Administrator and former White House National Climate Advisor, back to the Ceres Board of Directors.
Her perspective reflects what this moment demands. "We need more than promises. We need the kind of market shifts that can protect our economy and our planet." Gina's message is clear—we cannot afford to back down.
John, your leadership matters. Will you join our community of supporters today < [link removed] > to help ensure that the voices of investors and companies are heard when pivotal policy decisions are on the line?
Your Earth Month gift, matched today, will help Ceres continue to accelerate the clean energy transition and encourage the private sector to act on climate and sustainability, no matter the headwinds in Washington.
With your support, Ceres will continue to:
- Elevate the voice of business leaders to advance policies at the state level, such as grid modernization, clean energy generation, and energy affordability.
- Engage with investors and companies to act on water risks and protect freshwater resources.
- Promote strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture and build a more resilient food system.
- Catalyze investment into climate solutions and the global clean energy transition.

These are not abstract goals. They are essential to a stable and competitive U.S. economy.
We do not know what challenges lie ahead. But we know this: silence is not an option. The private sector’s voice carries weight, and investors and companies must use it to call for stability, accountability, and policies that protect our economy and planet. And we need your support.
Ceres is uniquely positioned to lead at this time, with credibility, experience, and an unwavering focus on the business case for action.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
Onward,
