Dear Friend,

I've seen firsthand how the Taxpayers’ Union can make a real difference when it counts. Look at the Stop Three Waters campaign. They took a complex, costly proposal that most people barely understood and turned it into a national controversy.

Jordan is right. This election will be decided on a knife-edge. And with so much at stake in the months ahead, it's more important than ever that organisations like the Taxpayers' Union cut through the noise in the media.

I've just chipped in to the Fighting Fund. I hope you will join me in backing this campaign. <[link removed]>

Thanks again for your support.

Hi Friend,

With so much going on in politics – the polls, the infighting, the rumours – I couldn't sleep.  I'm really worried about this year's election.

Some polls are showing a healthy lead for the government, while others are suggesting they'll be booted out of office.

And we all know whose side the media are on...

Friend, today marks 200 days until the election.

Two hundred days. That is all that stands between now and an election that will be decided on a knife-edge.

I'm emailing to ask for your support to ensure the Taxpayers' Union puts good policy front-and-centre. <[link removed]>

Without the Taxpayers' Union to point out the elephants in the room, New Zealand will continue the drift towards high debt, low productivity, low wages, and a country where getting ahead depends on your racial background, rather than your hard work. That's why we need your support. <[link removed]>

Last night, I was speaking to a supporter who called concerned about what is going on inside the National Party. I told him that I am too. After all, it's only the future of our country at stake!

In a commitment of real generosity, he told me that for every dollar we raise online this week, he'll match it – dollar for dollar – up to $10,000.

That means, for every dollar donated by you, it will go twice as far. <[link removed]>

With the polls all over the place, but the trend in one direction, November will come down to a handful of seats. A small shift in public opinion will matter.

It means that we have a short window where bad ideas are either challenged or allowed to settle in. Next month's Government Budget is key.

Because the risk is obvious. There has not been a single mainstream poll in the last two years showing Chris Hipkins returning to power without relying on the Greens and Te Pāti Māori.

And if Covid and the last Government's response taught us anything, it's that we cannot afford to go back to the 'money hose' economic management Labour, the Greens, and Te Pāti Māori are all offering.

Your donation to the Election Year Taxpayers’ Fighting Fund <[link removed]> will ensure taxpayers have the firepower to educate voters, challenge the narrative, and hold politicians of all stripes to account.

In previous elections, we've shifted the dial with our "Stop Three Waters" effort, the highly visual "Debt Clock" tours, the "Robbo's Removals" stunt, the election debates, and "Bribe-O-Meter" election policy costings.

Friend, will you step up and back our election campaign effort? <[link removed]>

Two hundred days is not long. It is the window that will decide what kind of country New Zealand becomes next.

Ps. If we wait until the formal election period, it will almost certainly be too late. By then, the narrative is set, and the damage is done. New Zealand will lose. We can't let that happen. <[link removed]>
