Big news out of Virginia.
Virginia voters just passed the redistricting amendment and it is a game changer.
Here’s what you need to know: we announced our campaign before redistricting was a thought. We entered the race, ready to win a flippable district. Now, the new map reshapes congressional districts into safe Blue districts to combat Republican gerrymandering in Texas and North Carolina. The stakes are high for the primary. Whoever wins the primary will win the general.

What We’ve Been Building
We didn’t wait for the map to become this. We have been pounding the pavement and here’s where we stand right now:
🚪 1,000+ people have been reached through our door knocking and phone banking. We’ve been in your neighborhoods, on your streets, having real conversations about what this community needs.
🪧 100 yard signs across the district. We are visible. Our neighbors are paying attention.
💛 2,000+ individual contributions. Two thousand contributions from people - not corporate PACs or AIPAC - who have put their money into this campaign. That’s not a donor list, that’s a coalition. We’ve outraised nearly every candidate in this race on small-dollar grassroots donations alone. Help us take the lead.
This is what a campaign that was ready before the map changed looks like.
Now it’s time to win the primary.
For the first time, this district has the opportunity to send someone to DC who runs on a platform that a majority of the people want across the political spectrum: universal health care, billionaires paying taxes, and getting special interests out of politics.
The new map opened the door. Winning the Democratic primary is how we walk through it. And that means the next few weeks are everything.
