Hey John. Sharlese here.
As finance director, it's my job to ensure we have the resources it takes to re-elect Roy -- resources that have a direct impact on when we communicate, how we'll reach voters, and get out the vote.
Truth is, summer is a really hard time to fundraise, and since we're not hosting in-person events, it's even tougher for me to make sure Roy has the resources he needs to win.
I spent last night running spreadsheets and crunching numbers, and if we can raise just over $30,000 by Sunday we'll be in a good place to hit our monthly goal.
All eyes are on North Carolina this year, it's going to be a tough fight but we have to work together to stay on the path of progress. What do you say, John, can we count on you to make your first contribution and rise to meet this challenge? >>

So why is hitting this August goal so important?
Roy's far-right opponent has been raking in cash at dangerous in-person fundraisers, and the Republican Governors Association has said they'll spend whatever it takes to boost him and defeat Roy.
We need to stay on track towards hitting our monthly goal to make sure that Roy has the resources he needs to fight back against his far-right opponent and the RGA.
If you're in a position to chip in, can we count on you to rush your first contribution so we can hit our mid-month goal and fight back against the extreme-right and the RGA?

Finance Director
Cooper for North Carolina
We hope everyone is staying safe during this ongoing health emergency. The Cooper Campaign is now working remotely, and we encourage all those who are able to practice social distancing. We've taken the step of cancelling all in-person fundraising for the time being, making grassroots online outreach and fundraising even more critical than before. Roy and the rest of the team will keep working for a more prosperous, better-educated, and healthy North Carolina, and we hope you will stay with us in this fight. Further information on the Coronavirus and our response can be found here.
