Today, Virginia voters chose to preserve fair representation and level the playing field against Trump’s cruel and corrupt scheme to rig the 2026 election in his favor.
They voted in favor of redrawing the state’s congressional maps to ensure voters decide elections — not politicians.
This is a major win for our democracy, for fair representation, and for Virginia and beyond. And I’m incredibly proud to be a part of our Commonwealth.
But this decision also marks a big change for us and our grassroots movement.
I am now officially running for Congress in Virginia’s new First Congressional District.
Starting a new chapter and launching a new campaign in a new district is no easy feat, John.
Running in a new district means reaching new voters, building new relationships, organizing in new parts of the state, and growing our grassroots movement. It means starting from the ground up.
And it's going to take a lot of resources. Resources I cannot build without people power and continued support from this grassroots team.
John, you have stood with me when it mattered most. So as I begin the next phase in this fight, I’m counting on you now more than ever.
