We’re in the middle of a historic moment, for real.
This summer, Mississippians came together to take down the confederate state flag. All across the country, peaceful protesters are demanding the removal of confederate monuments and other symbols of hate.
And just a few weeks ago, the House voted to remove confederate statues from the U.S. Capitol, including the statues currently representing Mississippi: Jefferson Davis and JZ George, two racist confederate leaders.
Now it’s up to the Senate to take up this bill. It’s already being blocked by cronies like Mitch McConnell. But there’s another problem: Cindy Hyde-Smith.

Cindy Hyde-Smith leads the Senate subcommittee that could decide whether these old symbols of hate have to go or not — and we already know that she considers the confederacy “Mississippi history at its best.”
Yep, that’s right — the sitting senator who joked about public hangings and voter suppression has the power to decide whether confederate statues stay or go in the U.S. Capitol.
You know, it’s 2020 — not 1820. Cindy Hyde-Smith is a do-nothing political hack who is stuck in the past. Someone like that does not belong in the U.S. Senate representing hardworking Americans.
Will you rush $10 right now to our campaign to elect Mike Espy to the U.S. Senate in Mississippi? This election is our chance to flip the Senate and elect leaders who will stand for progress and unity.
