Tonight, the Minnesota Senate Republicans staged a brazen, politically-motivated attack on workers and employers across Minnesota by making a surprise decision to remove Governor Walz’s Department of Labor and Industry Commissioner during a pandemic.
Our state is facing unprecedented challenges on multiple fronts. As Governor Walz continues to work around the clock to keep Minnesotans safe, the Senate GOP has proven once again that they are unable to put our health and economic security before politics.
Now, more than ever before, we need stable leadership, not partisan bickering. The Senate GOP has failed to rise to the occasion, and they must be held accountable.
We are immediately expanding our efforts to take back the Minnesota Senate this November so we can move past the GOP’s petty political games and deliver on the progress Minnesotans deserve. To cover the initial costs, we need to raise at least $5,000 by tomorrow night.
