John,

The Forest Service is on the verge of opening up 45 million acres of our most pristine national forests to logging, mining and road-building.[1]

This will be a catastrophe for hundreds of endangered species and countless beloved areas for hiking, camping and fishing.[2] And once a forest is cut down, it will take a hundred years to grow back.

Environment Colorado is working to save our last wild forests -- and starting right now, our generous donors have agreed to match all Earth Day donations, up to $50,000 nationwide.

Will you make a donation to help protect our last wild national forests? All donations made before midnight tomorrow will be matched dollar for dollar.

America's national forests are a legacy of natural beauty passed down through the generations to be prized and protected.

But if the Forest Service's 45-million-acre rollback isn't stopped, our wild forests will be carved up by roads, logging and strip mines.

Our wild forests would be opened up for logging in Alaska's Tongass National Forest, in the Appalachian Mountains, and on the doorsteps of the Yellowstone, Olympic and Glacier National Parks.[3]

We need your help to save our old trees.

Will you make a donation to help defend our national forests? All gifts received by midnight on Earth Day will be matched, up to $50,000 nationwide.

Matching donations are an incredible way to maximize your impact by doubling the power of your gift. With today's match, every dollar you give unlocks another dollar to help save our wild forests. If you give $5, we'll get $10. If you give $50, we'll get $100.

But this offer lasts for only a limited time, so don't click delete or put it off. Now is the time to maximize your impact and claim your special donor match right now.

Make a donation before midnight tomorrow and claim your special donor match, up to $50,000 nationwide.
