Friend, the radical left has forced us to stay home and used the coronavirus to double down on their fringe socialist agenda.

On the policy front, the left continues to hold the nation hostage while demanding Congress extend extra UI benefits that delay our economic recovery AND bail-out mostly liberal states who have mismanaged their budgets for decades.

Additionally, the left has doubled down on their identity politics driven culture wars. They demand the dismantling of our police departments and fight to keep kids out of school this fall.

Here at Heritage Action for America, we are doubling down on our efforts to save our nation. We are answering the call to fight the left’s multi-front battle in 2020.

First, we are hard at work to hold Congress accountable to conservative principles as they work on a fourth coronavirus package and bills to fund the federal government. 

• Stopping an Extension of the $600 weekly UI benefit.

This measure gives most unemployed individuals a huge raise for NOT working. That disincentivizes Americans from going back to work and contributes to a labor shortage that is hurting our country. It could also cost the U.S. trillions of dollars in payments and lost productivity and destroy our recovery.

• Opposing State and Local Bailouts.

These bailouts of mostly liberal states could cost taxpayers $1 trillion! Not to mention, it’s a huge reward for governors who have run their states into the ground by keeping their economies closed, forcing citizens out of work, and failing to manage a budget.

As we fight these policy battles, we also continue with Project 2020, a boots-on-the-ground effort to educate voters in key battleground states on the issues that will matter most this November. We’ve called over 2,000,000 homes and knocked on 50,000 doors so far! We have clear goals for Project 2020:

• Build a grassroots army of committed CONSERVATIVE leaders.
 
• Grow the Right’s ranks by reaching out to swing voters angry at the Left’s extremism.
• Win the policy fight on Culture, the Economy and Immigration that will help Americans return to work, and get our economy moving.
