Populism has failed, as is made clear by the Trump administration which now has policies one would expect from the George W. Bush years. Even worse, the only part of Trump’s populism that “succeeded” is the economic populism which amounts to more spending, more welfare, and more inflation to buy votes. But given Trump’s rock-bottom poll numbers, that’s not even working very well.
