We all remember the horrific ICE kidnapping and detention of five-year-old Liam Ramos, and so does Liam — his parents say he’s always worried about whether he’ll be taken again.
His mom says Liam was once a happy and playful kid, but now he doesn’t want to play with other kids and shows signs of psychological trauma.
He sees police officers and thinks they may be ICE agents coming to take him away.
It’s no wonder — armed and masked ICE agents literally took him from his driveway and shipped him to an inhumane detention center over a thousand miles away.
American taxpayers footed the bill for this, and it’s not OK.
Detaining and traumatizing children has nothing to do with fighting crime. 5-year-old Liam poses no threat to anyone. The cruelty has always been the point — and I will not stop fighting to end mass detention and shut down the horrific family detention centers that are profiting from human rights abuses.
To do that, we need to take back the House and shut down the corrupt, chaotic, and cruel MAGA majority that’s enabling this brutal administration.
