We wanted to make sure you saw Lucy’s note asking you to personally endorse our campaign. We’re going to send her a list of people who step up soon, so add your name today to make sure you’re on the list.
John -
In 2012, my son Jordan was shot and killed by a man who thought his music was too loud.
I became an activist the day my son was murdered. I spent the next six years fighting tirelessly as an activist — demanding our elected leaders do something to end the gun violence epidemic.
But Republicans in Congress refused to act. They would not pass legislation to keep our communities safe. So I decided to run for Congress myself.
And in 2018 with the support of people like you, I flipped Georgia’s 6th District and helped take back the House majority, but now I am facing my first re-election.
If we’re going to win, then we need a grassroots movement powering this campaign. I’m asking you to be a part of it:
I’m facing off against Karen Handel once again in November. Our movement defeated her by just 1 point in 2018, and it could be even closer this time.
Republicans are investing massive resources into Georgia to try to defeat Democrats up and down the ballot, and our race is at the top of their list. Their super PAC already booked $3 million in ads in our market.
That’s not all. The gun lobby wants nothing more than to defeat me too. And we cannot let that happen. It would be a major setback for our movement. The gun lobby would use it as a chance to push their dangerous agenda through Congress.
I am a mother on a mission, and I know that this is one that I cannot win alone. Thank you in advance for stepping up to support our movement.
