My response: Good!

I hate bugging people for money. If it were up to me, we’d send zero fundraising emails and zero fundraising texts. But I knew when I decided to run against Susan Collins that this was going to be part of the deal.

There were three options:

1) Take money from corporate PACs and special interests
2) Fund our campaign with support from people like you
3) Lose

The third option was never an option. And neither was the first. So here I am, sending you an email asking for money…

Susan Collins is the most vulnerable Republican senator in the entire country. And it is paramount that we defeat her. Democrats have zero chance of taking back the Senate if Susan Collins wins again here in Maine.
