Hi John -- I’m Aaron, the new campaign manager for Yes on Proposition 113, the National Popular Vote. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
Like many Coloradans, I was so excited last year when Governor Polis signed the National Popular Vote into law. We joined 14 other states and Washington D.C. and brought our country closer to making sure that the candidate who wins the most votes is elected President.
But then a special interest-backed group filed a petition to repeal the National Popular Vote law, and are now trying to convince Coloradans to vote against their best interests. They don’t believe one person should equal one vote in Colorado. It’s outrageous! We must pass Proposition 113 to ensure every vote for president counts equally, and every voice is heard.
Now I’m thrilled to be joining this team at a critical moment -- with less than 3 months until Election Day, we’ve got our work cut out for us.
Current polls show Proposition 113 with a very narrow lead -- a lead that could disappear over the next 3 months if we can’t keep making critical investments in advertising, volunteer recruitment, and voter mobilization to reach every voter in the state.
Look John, I have to ask -- can you chip in $10 or more to our campaign today so we can pass Proposition 113, the National Popular Vote, on November 3rd? We’ll put every dollar to work immediately, making the investments we need to win.
