Last night, on Fox News, Donald Trump talked about our primary race. He called Eliot Engel a "staple" and cited my primary win — which he said came from "the radical left" — as proof that New York is becoming a terrible place.

Do you know what also happened last night? Rep. Ilhan Omar or Minnesota won her primary by more than 15 points. And she did that despite being outspent 6-to-1 by her opponent (who used money from some of the same right-wing donors that also funded my opponent) to finance an avalanche of attack ads.

John, Donald Trump is so obviously terrified of the progressive movement that all of us worked so hard to build together. And he's even more terrified that our power keeps growing, as we saw yesterday with Ilhan's victory.

Ilhan's win is proof that our progressive coalition — the so-called "radical left" — isn't going anywhere. But there is a lot of time between now and November. We know that Donald Trump's attacks are going to become louder and nastier, and his rich friends are going to give as much as they can spare to stop our momentum.
