Hey John,
We’re emailing today with a quick request to help us complete this groundbreaking study about birth control pills. We’re helping study whether birth control pills should be on the shelves at CVS and Walgreens without a prescription or age restriction (just like condoms and Plan B are now). The study is open to young people anywhere in the United States and, due to COVID-19, will be all-online.
The most important step for FDA approval is ensuring enough young people participate in this study about the pill, and right now we need more participants under age 18 (especially ages 11-15).
We badly need YOU to spread the word via email, text and social media.
So...
IF YOU’VE ONLY GOT 1 MINUTE
Can you copy/paste this into a text message, gchat, or FB message to 5 friends who may work with teens?
Hey, just texting you because I saw this opportunity for people under 18 to join this study about birth control and was wondering if you could spread the word? Young people who participate can get $75 and help the government decide if birth control pills should be on the shelves at CVS & Walgreens, no prescription needed.

IF YOU’VE ONLY GOT 5 MINUTES
Think about if you know any teachers or someone at an organization that works with young people. Can you forward them this email and ask their organization to post about it or reach out to their email list? You could even give them this sample post so they can just copy/paste and post it:
The shelves at CVS have
✅condoms
✅emergency contraception
❌...but no birth control pills?
Right now, ppl under 18 can get paid $75 to join this study and see if the govt should change that. See if you’re eligible here: https://thepillstudy.com/
IF YOU’VE GOT...WELL...AN ACTIVE SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE
Copy/paste one of those social media posts above, and simply post it on your own accounts. Maybe you’ll reach a young person or adults who work with young people. The study is open to young people anywhere in the United States and, due to COVID-19, will be all-online. It’s crucial that we recruit as many young people as possible, particularly those who are 11-15.
Thank you so much,
