John -- we wanted to make sure you got a chance to see Laura's guest column in the Garden City Telegram. Since the start of the pandemic, Kansans have shown just how resilient we are. We have sacrificed normal routines and celebrations to protect and support each other.

While faced with an immense amount of uncertainty, our farmers, meat producers, and ranchers stepped up in a big way to continue serving our state. In the midst of the worst pandemic our country has seen in nearly a century, they worked to ensure our food supply chain was maintained and our state continued to have access to quality products.

In Laura's column she shared about her recent visit to the Brookover Feed Yards. And she said this of our agriculture community:
"We cannot take for granted what our farmers do for us, and for people around the world. They put their health and safety on the line for all of us to keep fed during the pandemic, and now we must be more grateful than ever for our neighbors and friends in the Kansas agricultural community."
Take a moment to read Laura's guest column in the Garden City Telegram, then share it with your friends and family on Facebook and Twitter to thank the agriculture workers in your life.
