My fellow Republicans,

Before I say anything else, I want to stop, and I mean really stop, and acknowledge every single volunteer who gave their time over the last twelve months. You showed up when it was convenient and when it wasn't. You worked without fanfare. And you did it because you love Colorado. That is not a small thing. Thank you.

I want to recognize some people by name, because they have earned it.

Our Communications Team, Christian Navarro, Holly Horn, and Michael Vance. Through Christian and Holly’s consistent dedication to our Social Media Communications, we have seen incredible growth across all platforms. The State Party can utilize this to their full advantage in the General Election cycle to amplify the voices of our candidates across Colorado.

Michael Vance kept our State Central Committee informed on the Colorado Legislative Session every week with opportunities to engage as Republicans at the Capitol through testimony and through issues advocacy online.

Sean Steele was instrumental in our IT efforts. Our CO GOP Chaplain Roger Chandler, who kept us grounded when we needed it most. Operations Research: Stan VanderWerf. Our Executive Director Alec Hanna, Treasurer Richard Keck, and Attorney Steven Klenda.

The Assembly Committee: Tonya Van Beber, RNC National Committeewoman Christy Fidura and IT extraordinaire Sean Steele. The Teller Committee: Priscilla Rahn and Sandra Este. The Credentials Committee: Adrienne Sandoval, Will Sander, Mary Ann Coriss, Ryan Wilcken, and Maria Guzman Weese. CRCAS: Nancy Pallozzi. All-around volunteers who were everywhere they were needed, filling every gap without being asked: Betsy VanderWerf and Kelsey Alexander.

Every single one of you gave something that cannot be repaid. I hope you know what it meant.

To the Assembly Committee specifically - what you pulled off was extraordinary! The months, the hours, the planning, the problem-solving behind the scenes that nobody saw. I know what went into it, and I am grateful.

I also need to say this plainly and humbly, and I want everyone to hear it: everything that did not go perfectly at assembly is on me. Not on the committee. Not on the volunteers. On me. I was the leader and the Chairman. I own it fully and without reservation. It is the truth, and you deserve to hear me say it out loud.

Additionally, there is something I have to say directly, because I cannot move past it without addressing it from the heart. It breaks me that a delegate was hurt in the lobby. I am so deeply sorry. That should never have happened. I carry that with me, and I will carry it. It is a reminder that the people who show up for this party, who give of their Saturdays, their energy and their belief, deserve to be safe and honored. We owe them that. I owe them that.

What an incredible, humbling journey this has been. When I took this role, I made one promise to myself and to you. That every decision, every resource, every ounce of energy would be pointed at one thing: winning for Colorado.

I have circled this square state. I have sat across from candidates who walked away from comfort, from family privacy, from their own resources all because they genuinely believe Colorado deserves better. That kind of courage stops me every single time. It reminds me why we are here.

Here is what I know after all of it. These candidates need more than a yard sign. They need you. They need neighbors talking to neighbors. Doors knocked. Phones dialed. Conversations that happen at kitchen tables and on front porches. Elections are not decided in headquarters. They are decided by people who are willing to show up in the ordinary moments and carry the message themselves.

Colorado IS winnable. I have seen it. I have felt it in every county I have visited. The energy is real and it is growing. You are not just witnesses to that — you are the reason it exists.

STAY IN THE FIGHT. Don't let up! Carry these candidates to every voter you can reach. The finish line is November and we are not slowing down.

It has been the honor of my life to serve alongside each of you. I meant that when I said it before, and I mean it more now. Though my time as Chairman of the Colorado Republican Committee has come to a close, I am not going anywhere.

We show up. We work. We win.

God bless you, God bless our candidates, and God bless the great state of Colorado!

Yours In Liberty,

Brita Horn
