It's time to step up our game. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Dear John,

What are you doing to save the November election?

Are you feeling anxious? Want to do more? Then join our "Fight to Vote" campaign in a new initiative we're calling the "100 Ways to Fight Challenge."

With less than 100 days to go until the election, we’re asking you to write 100 letters or make 100 phone calls to potential voters in Pennsylvania -- proven tactics that get voters to the polls in a key battleground state.

These actions are simple and take minimal time. For example, writing letters through our partner organization, "Vote Forward," takes just three minutes per letter. So let's do the math. You can write five letters a day in fifteen minutes. Do this every day 20 days and you've met your goal of 100. Could anything be easier than this to help preserve our democracy?

Actually, glad you asked: Making phone calls takes even less time! Here's more information on how to do both:

  • Write 100 letters! Did you know that personalized letters from one voter to another significantly increases voter turnout? Click here to sign up to write letters to potential voters. Once you are signed up, you will automatically be assigned to a campaign. If you want to switch your campaign to a Pennsylvania campaign, click on "Switch campaign" and select a PA campaign to get lists of addresses in Pennsylvania.

And if you’d like to join other letter writers and watch a nature documentary while writing letters... click here to attend one of our Virtual Letter Writing Parties!

Going forward, our campaign here at CCAN Action Fund  called the "Fight to Vote" campaign  is taking a targeted approach to the 2020 elections. Over the next several weeks we will focus our efforts on critical battleground states states that will decide the outcome.

Our first battleground state is Pennsylvania. In 2016, Pennsylvania faced a lot of voter suppression, a situation that pretty much determined the election results for the state and nationally. These are two ways we can swing the pendulum back.

We’re up against an administration that is working night and day to suppress voters and we can’t stop fighting.

Today, please make a commitment to writing 100 letters or making 100 phone calls.

For our climate,

Nora Winsler
Voter Education Coordinator

PS: Want to help but short on time? You can still take part in the challenge. Donate $100 to sponsor a voter in Pennsylvania. While the governor of Pennsylvania has decided to cover the cost of postage to return voted mail-in ballots, many Pennsylvanians still need assistance covering the cost to send in their mail-in ballot application. For every $2 dollars you donate, we will send one potential voter the resources they need to make their ballot count in November.
