Yesterday, Joe Biden made the long-awaited announcement of his 2020 presidential running mate: California’s Senator Kamala Harris.
When Barack Obama picked Joe Biden as VP in 2008, he hit a home run. Well, Joe Biden picking Kamala Harris is a grand slam.
Kamala is a brilliant and dedicated public servant. California has truly been lucky to have her as Attorney General and Senator, and now the nation will be lucky to have her as VP.
This is a historic moment, or as Joe might say, a “BFD”, for our country. Kamala is not only an outstanding pick for her public service, but she:

Championed
the
environment,
universal
healthcare
and
equality;

Ran
one
of
the
largest
Attorney
General
offices
in
the
country;
and
*
Is
the
first
Black
woman
and
Asian
American
selected
for
a
national
ticket.
We have the opportunity to make history this November by electing Joe and Kamala. And for the sake of our democracy and our country’s well-being, we must. This is a battle for the soul of our nation.
Joe and Kamala represent everything Donald Trump isn’t. By electing them this November and removing Trump from the White House, we can finally, properly address the COVID-19 pandemic, stop the assault on our Constitution and rule of law from the top-down, and make real progress for the people when it comes to health care, voting rights, and so much more.
