Dear Friends,

This week, Philadelphia made history. City Council unanimously voted the ICE OUT legislative package out of committee, a bold step to protect our immigrant communities from federal overreach and the threat of further terrorizing our communities.

This is more than just legislation, it’s a lifeline for thousands of Philadelphians who have lived in fear, unsure if seeking healthcare, reporting a crime, going to work, or school could put them and their families at risk. With this legislation, Philadelphia says loud and clear: our city will not be complicit in tearing families apart.

This win is monumental, but it didn’t happen on its own. It happened because of community organizing, grassroots advocacy, and people like you who refuse to stand by while Philadelphia families are threatened. And while this is a major win, the fight for justice and equity in Philadelphia is far from over.

The ICE OUT package ensures:

• City resources cannot be used to support federal immigration enforcement.

• Philadelphians' data is safeguarded and will not be shared with ICE.

• ICE Agents can no longer go undetected with masks and unmarked vehicles.

• Our City remains a safer, welcoming city for all.

This victory was possible because of you: Advocates, organizers, and neighbors who demanded justice and safety for all. Your voices made this historic moment a reality. City Council’s FINAL vote on the ICE OUT legislation is Thursday, April 23!

Your support today can help us keep the momentum going. Every contribution, big or small, fuels our work to pass more legislation that protects our most vulnerable residents, fights systemic injustice, and builds a city where everyone belongs.

Now more than ever, we must remain vigilant and united. The fight for immigrant rights does not end here, but today we celebrate a critical step forward. Philadelphia is sending a message: families belong together, and our city will protect them.
