Hi John, when it comes to autism, finding the right words can be tough. Finding community in these challenging times doesn't have to be — and you're the proof.
You have weathered so many changes and challenges over the past few months, showing your resilience time and again. Your commitment to creating a better world for people with autism and their families never ceases to inspire us, and our community needs that commitment now more than ever.
That's why we're so excited to share some big news about celebrating YOU and your amazing commitment to our mission. While the way we come together for the autism community will look different than in years past, the spirit of celebration, hope and community will remain as strong as ever. And the best news of all: you can participate from ANYWHERE!
We invite you to move with us (in spirit or in person!) in support of a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential. Here's how:
- Join the Autism Speaks Walk on wheels, on foot or online. You can find an event in your community or create one that works for you!
- Lace up those sneaks for a virtual 5K or 8K to run on kindness toward a brighter future for people with autism.
- Get creative! If there's one thing we know, it's that there's no limit to how our community shows support for a kinder world. We can't wait to see your fresh ideas to fundraise YOUR way.
Don't forget that every dollar you raise to support Autism Speaks mission makes a lasting impact — today, tomorrow and well into the future for people on the spectrum and those who love them. The autism community has been profoundly impacted by the challenges of 2020, and we're so grateful to have supporters like you here to fuel our mission every day.
We can't wait to see you out there! Let's get moving.
With kindness & gratitude, Jennifer Schell Podoll SVP, Constituent Engagement
