Sometimes $2.70 is enough.

Ilhan Omar’s primary opponent raised more than $4 million and a super PAC spent more than $2.5 million more to defeat her.

That’s an obscene amount of money in a Democratic congressional primary, and it was raised and spent simply because Ilhan has taken on the corporate elite and has fought for the working people of this country.

But we came together and fought back. Our supporters made phone calls, sent texts and we contributed almost $500,000 to Ilhan’s campaign... $2.70 at a time.

Well, we are happy to tell you that last night Ilhan defeated her opponent by almost 20 percentage points. And not only that, but progressive candidates we endorsed in Vermont won their primaries as well, including David Zuckerman for governor.

What we are showing this cycle is that our political revolution is strong, and is capable of winning at all levels of government, even against the most well-funded opposition. But our work is not done. Our job now is not only to defeat Donald Trump, but to elect the most progressive Congress and state governments we can this November.

It will be difficult. Our candidates will have to take on super PACs and wealthy campaign contributors. But sometimes $2.70 is enough. So what do you say?

Can you make a $2.70 contribution to our campaign to fight to defeat Donald Trump and elect the most progressive Congress and state governments we can this November?

As you know, the political revolution was never about electing one person to become President of the United States — this is a movement to elect progressives at every level who will fight for a government that represents all of us, and not just the 1 percent.

Let’s go forward together and do that in November.

In solidarity,

Team Bernie
