Hey John, it's Aru.

Today, we are proud to re-endorse our incumbents, the candidates we helped elect who are now carrying our movement into the halls of power and fighting for working people every day.

To keep building and expanding this power, can you chip in today to support Sunrise’s electoral work? This work has already reshaped what’s possible, and we have big plans for 2026. [[link removed]]

In the 2018 midterm elections, just one year after Sunrise was founded, we helped elect the first members of the Squad: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar. Today, we’ve grown that into 12 members of Congress, electing Greg Casar, Delia Ramirez, Summer Lee, and more.

Since the earliest days of Sunrise, our strategy has been clear: build people power through organizing, and translate it into political power by electing leaders who will fight for us.

Since then, the rules in Congress haven’t been fully rewritten (not by a long shot), but they’ve been challenged in a way many people thought could never happen.

Sunrise-backed leaders are proving that things can be different. They’ve shown that you can win without taking corporate PAC money. That you can stay accountable to the people who elected you, not to billionaires or special interests. That taking AIPAC money is a red line, not a requirement for power.

And because of that, expectations are shifting. What once felt out of reach is now something people are beginning to demand from their own leaders.

But let’s be clear: the system is still rigged. Under Donald Trump, billionaires and corporations are tightening their grip, while working people are pushed further out of power. The Democratic Party has still utterly failed to meet the moment while corporate Democrats cling to power.

That’s why Sunrise is launching our largest and most ambitious primary program ever. We’re backing a new slate of leaders who meet this moment and will grow our power in Congress.

Our slate will always:

* Reject fossil fuel money
* Fight for a Green New Deal that transforms our economy and secures a livable future
* Stand up to Trump and the far-right
* Be ready to challenge Democratic leadership to fight for working people
* Refuse corporate PAC and AIPAC money
* Support Medicare for All, College for All, and the Block the Bombs Act

Building this kind of power takes resources. If we’re going to expand this slate, defeat entrenched incumbents, and elect a new generation of leaders, we need all of us in this fight.

Can you chip in today to help fund Sunrise’s historic electoral program? Every dollar goes toward organizing young people, supporting candidates who refuse corporate money, and building the political power we need to take on billionaires and win. [[link removed]]

This is our moment to grow our power in Congress. This is our moment to send bought-out politicians packing. And this slate is only the beginning.
