The Actors Fund

Dear Actors Fund Friends,

As stormy summer weather brings even more unpredictability and unrest
to parts of the country, we hope you are safe, secure and well.

Now more than usual, we find ourselves looking for comfort in our
favorite things-whether that's a shared meal with family,
a song we just can't help but dance to, a hike down a previously
unexplored path, or a movie we've watched a hundred times and
will eagerly watch a hundred more. The reassurance of things we know
bring us joy is something many of us can probably relate to.

Which is why we're especially eager for this week's
entertainment line-up that includes inspiring Broadway duets;
multi-media trivia in the Zoom where it happens; and a musical full of
toe-tapping dance numbers that will having you spinning on newspapers
and declaring yourself to be the King of New York.

Thank you as always for your support of the performing arts and
entertainment community, and we hope you enjoy the week ahead.

Vanguard Theater Company's Broadway Buddy Mentorship Cabaret
will air on BroadwayHD as a benefit for The Actors Fund. The show will
feature an introduction by composer, actor and playwright Lin-Manuel
Miranda.

As part of the company's mission to create a safe space for
artists on pre-professional tracks who need mentoring and support,
Vanguard created the Broadway Buddy Mentorship Program to pair
up-and-coming young artists with established Broadway professionals.
The concert will feature student mentees performing virtual duets with
acting mentors hailing from Broadway shows.
