The Nottingham Motor Show is the biggest show of its kind in the East Midlands, including hundreds of classic vehicles as well as the very latest models that car dealerships have to offer.

There will also be family entertainment, a funfair for the kids, and a music marquee, plus a wide range of food and exhibitor stalls to enjoy. Admission is free, event car parking charges apply but you can save £2 by *booking your car parking in advance here [ [link removed] ]* (£10 per car).

Market Place Europe is at Old Market Square until Sunday, with a huge selection of traders from across the world. Shoppers can explore a unique range of arts, crafts and gifts, such as jewellery, clothing, wooden carvings and handmade ceramics.

For street food lovers, there is a tempting selection of continental and international flavours to sample, and other tasty food offerings include traditional baked goods, olives, baklava, cheeses, crepes, churros, gelato, and more. The market is open from 10am-7pm daily (bar closes at 8pm).

Join the celebrations for the Sikh festival of Vaisakhi, with the colourful Nagar Kirtan procession. In line with the Sikh principles, everyone is welcome and langar (free vegetarian food) will be available to all. You will also experience Gatka - Sikh martial art sword fighting displays - as well as meditation and music.

The procession starts at 10.30am from Guru Nanak Sat Sang Gurdwara on Forest Road West, finishing at Gurdwara Ramgarhia Sabha on Percy Street in Basford. Please note there will be some short-term temporary road closures and bus diversions along the route to facilitate the procession.

There's just one week to go until the Castle Beer Festival, featuring great beer, local talent, and unbeatable views across the city. Nottingham's independent breweries will showcase their craft beer, cask ales and ciders, alongside street food vendors and live music, all set within the stunning grounds of Nottingham Castle.

Breweries include: Blue Monkey, Castle Rock, Lincoln Green, Hollow Stone, Shipstone's, Black Iris, Liquid Light, Lenton Lane, Neonraptor, Magpie, Grumpy Fish, and Bang the Elephant. Across the sessions there will also be performances from Jonk, Milky Joe, Vicky McClure’s Our Dementia Choir, Buster Party Band, Herds, and Fat Digester.

Jim Henson’s original masterpiece and musical fantasy film "Labyrinth" is touring the UK in celebration of its 40th anniversary. Starring the iconic David Bowie, fans will be transported to Goblin City in an exciting fusion of film and live music on stage.

Audiences are invited to experience an epic evening as the movie is presented on a large HD cinema screen. A live band will perform in sync with Bowie’s original vocals, playing the songs and the score from the soundtrack composed by Bowie and Trevor Jones.
