Dear John,

100 Americans die by gun violence every single day.

Over the weekend in Washington, DC, a teenager was killed and 20 others were shot and injured at a neighborhood gathering. On August 1st alone, there were shootings in Montgomery, Denver, Chicago, and Pointblank, TX. Every year, nearly 40,000 Americans are killed by guns.

This devastating surge in gun violence must not be ignored. Families are continuing to be destroyed. Communities are continuing to be torn apart.

This violence has to stop. We have the ability to prevent these deaths!

At the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV), we know that these gun deaths are not inevitable. While our country is battling a worldwide pandemic and national social unrest, we must do what we can to pass meaningful legislation and ensure adequate resources are allocated to communities in order to save American lives. The issue of gun violence prevention is now more important than ever.

Throughout the instability that 2020 has brought, we have not stopped working. Day in and day out, CSGV is doing what we can to develop and advocate for evidence-based solutions that have the power to make gun violence rare and abnormal.

We have the ability to create meaningful change -- but we can't do it without your help! Chip in today to support CSGV's fight against the scourge of gun violence: [link removed]. With supporters, like you by our side, a future free from gun violence is possible!

Thank you,

Josh Horwitz
