Dear A.,

President Trump today announced a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.

In a post this morning, the president
[link removed]
said that he "had excellent conversations with the Highly Respected President Joseph Aoun, of Lebanon and Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, of Israel. These two Leaders have agreed that in order to achieve PEACE between their Countries, they will formally begin a 10 Day CEASEFIRE at 5 P.M. EST."

President Trump
[link removed]
added that he will be inviting Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Aoun to the White House for direct talks.

In a

statement outlining the terms of the ceasefire, the State Department confirmed that "both nations will work to create conditions conducive to lasting peace between the two countries, full recognition of each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and establishing genuine security along their shared border, while preserving Israel’s inherent right to self-defense."

This ceasefire is an important first step toward what could become historic negotiations between Israel and Lebanon. While Hezbollah — Iran’s terror proxy — has made clear it does not consider itself bound by this ceasefire, this moment offers Lebanon’s leaders a chance to reclaim their country and chart a new course free from Iranian proxy control.

For decades, Hezbollah has attacked Americans and Israelis, destabilized the region, and imposed oppressive control over the Lebanese people and their society. Israeli communities have lived under constant attacks from Hezbollah, and any agreement must ensure that Israel has the freedom to defend itself.

In the lead-up to the ceasefire, Hezbollah launched barrages of more than 30 rockets at Israeli communities, injuring at least three civilians.

President Trump also

announced today that Iran has"agreed to give us back the nuclear dust that’s way underground because of the attack we made with the B-2 bombers," and that he might travel to Islamabad should a deal be signed.

Finally, I encourage you to contact your senators following their votes last night on arms sales to Israel. It’s critical that senators hear from pro-Israel constituents expressing appreciation for those who voted to stand with Israel and disappointment for those who voted to block arms to our ally fighting a multi-front war.

In operational update, CENTCOM Commander says “There's been no better teammate than Israel.”

Today, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine, and CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper
[link removed]
provided an update on the U.S. military operations in the Middle East and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

Adm. Cooper praised Israel for its role in the war against Iran, saying, "There's been no better teammate than Israel... Twice in the past two weeks, I've met with the Israeli Chief of Defense [Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir] to ensure that we remain closely aligned, and we do."

Gen. Caine said that 12 vessels have now been turned around since the blockade began, and that while U.S. forces have not had to board any vessel, they are prepared to do so if any vessels attempt to break the U.S. line.

Additionally, he emphasized that the blockade has been instrumental in blocking Iran's dark fleet, the vessels that carry illegal Iranian oil. Adding, they "are those illicit or illegal ships evading international regulations, sanctions, or insurance requirements."

Meanwhile, the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control intensified its pressure on Iran's illicit oil trade by sanctioning more than 25 individuals, companies, and vessels operating under oil shipping magnate Mohammad Hossein Shamkhani's network.

"Treasury is moving aggressively with Economic Fury by targeting regime elites like the Shamkhani family that attempt to profit at the expense of the Iranian people," Secretary Scott Bessent

said . "Treasury will continue to cut off Iran’s illicit smuggling and terror proxy networks. Financial institutions should be on notice that Treasury will leverage all tools and authorities, including secondary sanctions, against those that continue to support Tehran’s terrorist activities."

IDF uncovers Hezbollah weapons cache at school in southern Lebanon

The IDF today uncovered a

massive Hezbollah weapons cache , more than 130 weapons at a school in the Bint Jbeil area of southern Lebanon, which included AK-47 machine guns, pistols, and magazines. The discovery reveals yet again Hezbollah’s abhorrent use of civilian infrastructure as shields for its weapons and fighters.

Additionally, the IDF

dismantled roughly 70 Hezbollah terror infrastructure sites in less than one minute, eliminating weapons caches, grenades, anti-aircraft missiles, and surveillance and combat equipment, as well as eliminating dozens of terrorists.

Israeli troops also struck a Hezbollah
